The Writtle Surgery is a friendly village GP practice located in the heart of Writtle, serving local residents and the surrounding communities. We are proud of our village roots and the strong relationships we have built with generations of patients and their families.

The surgery telephone lines are open throughout our normal working hours of 8:00 am – 6:30 pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays. If you require medical attention during the time we are closed then please phone 111.
Appointments
The surgery doors are open from 08:00 am to 6:30 pm. Appointments are for 10 minutes and are available 8:30am-06:00pm. To see a Doctor or Nurse please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment. If you have more than one issue you would like to discuss please ensure you book a double appointment.
The Dispensary
The dispensary opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6.30pm. If you need to obtain medicines urgently then please speak to one of our dispensers.
From 10/7/23 we are increasing the opening hours of the Dispensary which will now be from 8.00am through to 6.30pm, phone lines to the Dispensary will be open during the entirety of the new opening hours.
