Repeat prescriptions

All repeat prescription requests are handled by our trained dispensing staff. There are several ways to request your repeat medication. Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. You may then choose from the following:

  • during opening hours leave your request for a repeat prescription in the repeats box in the surgery entrance hall
  • when we are closed put your request through the surgery letter box
  • use the web based request system SystmOnline. To do so you need to collect a registration form from reception. Once activated, you can use the link to the right to order your medications.

Your prescription will be ready for collection 48 hours later.

If you live more than 1.6 miles in a direct line from the nearest chemist you are able to get your prescribed drugs directly from our surgery dispensary. This will be arranged for you at the time of registration, and offers convenience and speed in sourcing your medications. The opening hours for this facility are Monday to Friday 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 6 pm.

If you use a chemist in a different location to the local ones, we can can post your prescription sheet to you  if you provide a stamped, addressed envelope.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment. If you cannot obtain an appointment with your usual doctor until after the date, as long as an appointment has been made our dispensers are able to offer you a further one months supply to cover the gap.
